Sarah Thompson is a DJ, radio presenter and documentary producer based in London.
She is the founder of the radio show, gig night and DJ outfit The Filthy Disco dedicated to championing the most exciting, adventurous under the radar music in the world. The Filthy Disco is broadcast every other Thursday on This Is Fake DIY between 8-9pm.
She makes loads of music based documentaries for BBC networks and her latest doc ‘JA in the UK’ celebrated 50 years of Jamaican independence for BBC Radio 1Xtra.
Sarah writes music reviews for online publications, and at night she comes out to DJ when she plays the freshest new cuts next to classic ones from Hip Hop to 50’s Rock & Roll. You can expect all sorts like A$AP Rocky next to Purity Ring, Jay Z next to Elvis Presley and Grimes into Fleetwood Mac. Keep a look out for her club night The Filthy Disco Presents where the best new live musicians come out to play.
She was recently nominated for the Sony Rising Star award alongside Ronnie Wood and Matt Edmondson.
